Starting Strong Marriage Stories

 

Josh and Candra were involved in our newlywed couples ministry and are now involved in a good church and raising their family. They are now enjoying the benefits and blessings of the Starting Strong Marriages ministry that they received. They said, “We joined Joe and Susie’s Starting Strong Marriages group right after we got married. It was a great group to start our spiritual relationship with while we had just gotten married a few weeks earlier. We learned a lot about God and what He wants for a marriage while we were learning how to be married. We really enjoyed being in their young married small group.”

Brad and Inna have a very unique love story. So unique that I had to save Brad and Inna’s Love Story on a another page for you to read. The short story is about a young widower who needed a nanny to provide loving care for his two kids, and a young woman in the Ukraine who was praying for just the right family to serve as an Au pair. God miraculously brought them together, and Inna came to the U.S. and to Minnesota to serve them. When her time here expired, and she had to go back to the Ukraine, Brad got on a plane, proposed, and they became a new young family as husband, wife, and two kids.

When Brad & Inna joined our newly married couple’s study, they said they finally found the spiritual fellowship and support they needed. “Your ministry is exactly what we were looking for. We have the normal newlywed issues to work on along with the issues of our own unique situation. The kids still have some anxiety about us leaving or dying. There are some cultural challenges. It will be hard to go from Au pair to true mother. We’re so glad to have found a young married couples group to learn and grow with. We really appreciated having an older couple to lead us in our faith through some of these issues and help us prepare for the future.” Brad and Inna are still working on their special challenges and growing their family.
