Journeymen Ministries
Volunteers Make All the Difference
A team of volunteer men lead many of the Journeymen Men’s discipleship groups. These men have typically been participants in a Journeymen group themselves and want to give other men the opportunity to experience the same fellowship, training and encouragement that they received.
Nate is a Journeymen Men’s Discipleship group leader. He says, “I want to help other men live for Jesus as real men of God.”Nate is passionate about making disciples. He recently said, “I chased after all that this world said would make a man happy but I came up empty. Jesus saved me from myself and gave me true significance. Now, I want to help other men live for Jesus as real men of God.” He went on to tell me, “I have been praying for God’s direction for me and I believe He wants me to help serve other men as a Journeymen leader.”
Nate is doing a great job serving groups of men like this one. He is leading by example of his own passion and commitment to obey God’s Word in his personal, family and work life.
Other men volunteer in the New Man Ministry. They serve as mentors to formerly incarcerated men. They befriend these men and invite them into their circle of healthy friends who are following Jesus together.
Scott and Wendi volunteer by serving as co-leaders of a Starting Strong Marriage small group. They lead a
Bible study and discussion of principles for healthy marriage, and serve as godly mentors to the newlywed couples in the group. They provide a much-needed ministry of discipling newlywed couples and strengthening new Christian families.
These great folks are the backbone of each ministry. The Staff focus on ministering side-by-side with them and training them to do the ministries they are call to do.
